The Lichenological Society of Japan (LSJ) was established in 1972. The society aims the development and spread of lichenology as well as promotion of mutual friendship among members.
Membership
Membership of the LSJ is open to all individuals anywhere in the world interested in any part of lichenology. Detailed membership and application forms are obtained from the secretary (Hiromi Miyawaki).
Membership fee is 2,000 yen per year (10,000 yen for five years is also acceptable)
Activities
Meeting (The Society holds an annual meeting, generally in August or September. Field trips are normally held in conjunction with the annual meeting.)
News Bulletin of LSJ “LICHEN” is published twice in a year (Contributions from overseas are also very welcome!).
